Sunburn Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary drink with savory garnishes
Sunburn Bloody Mary

We know the bloody Mary isn’t for everyone, but if you can’t get enough of that spicy, briny, savory tomato flavor, you are sure to love our take on this any-time drink! We pull out all the flavor stops by adding smokiness and bold heat from our Sunburn and Gulf BBQ! Go crazy with the garnish or just enjoy the simplicity of this savory drink on its own! We like it spicy (for real spicy!), and this recipe will get your blood pumping, but if you want to temper the heat, feel free to adjust the ingredients as needed.

Those Florida Guys seasonings used in this recipe:

Yields: 4-5 Servings | Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Total Time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients:

Your favorite bloody Mary mix

Spicy tomato juice

2 cups of vodka or tequila

1 tablespoon chipotles in adobo sauce (just the sauce)

1 tablespoon of your favorite hot sauce

1 tablespoon prepared horseradish (usually found in the refrigerated section)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon black pepper

2 tablespoons Sunburn (or to taste)

2-3 tablespoons Gulf BBQ

Kosher salt to taste

*Garnishes

Celery stalks

Fresh dill

Crispy bacon

Chicken wings

Shrimp (we pan seared these with SPF 7)

Cheese cubes

Blue cheese or garlic stuffed olives

Process:

1 | In a pitcher add 2 cups of vodka or tequila. Add the Sunburn and mix well with the alcohol.

2 | Add about half of the bloody Mary mix and about half of the spicy tomato juice to the pitcher. Stir the mix and alcohol well to combine.

3 | Add the rest of the ingredients (except garnishes) and stir well. Ideally let this sit in the refrigerator for a few hours, but you can also drink immediately, and it will be just as good.

4 | On a plate or flat-bottom bowl, add the Gulf BBQ. In a separate plate or flat-bottom bowl, add some water or alcohol of your choice, deep enough to go about 1/8 inch of the top of the glass. Dip the top of the glass in the liquid, then dip the wet glass in the Gulf BBQ, moving around to get the entire top area of the glass rimmed with the rub.

5 | Add ice as desired and pour the bloody Mary into the rimmed glasses.

6 | Garnish with celery stalks, olives, and/or lime.

7 | Serve and enjoy!
