Chipotle Lime Shrimp Skewers
Fire up the grill or griddle and make these juicy, buttery Shrimp Skewers! The fresh ingredients and amazing kick from Those Florida Guys FL Fin & Fowl makes these a winner, packing a kick with chipotle and lime! This recipe is simple and comes together quickly with mostly pantry staples. Our chili lime shrimp is packed with warm spices and are bursting with fresh lime flavor. You can make these without the skewers, just make sure to turn the shrimp quickly so that they do not burn. We used these on tacos, but the applications are endless.
Those Florida Guys seasonings used in this recipe:
Yields: 4 Servings | Prep Time: 20 Minutes | Total Time: 30 Minutes
1 | Rinse, deshell, and de-vein, detail shrimp as needed.
**We find that doing this in a bowl of water is easiest.**
2 | Thoroughly dry the shrimp, then coat lightly with cornstarch.
**Provides adhesion for the butter mixture and adds crispness to the shrimp.**
3 | Preheat grill/griddle to 375 degrees.
4 | In a medium-sized metal bowl or saucepan, add the softened butter, minced garlic, 1 tbs. FL Fin & Fowl, 1 tsp. lime juice and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined.
5 | Mix the butter into the shrimps using your hands and coat each one with the mixture thoroughly.
6 | Place the shrimps on skewers, about 4-6 each skewer.
**We like the flat bamboo skewers because they prevent rotation during the cook.**
7 | Coat the shrimp skewers with the remainder of the FL Fin & Fowl and remainder of the lime juice.
8 | Place the remaining butter mixture on the grill/griddle in a heat safe container, on indirect heat.
9 | Cook the shrimp for about 2-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown.
10 | Baste with the remaining melted butter mixture during the cook, 2-3 times. This will take the flavor to another level!
11 | Remove the skewers from the heat and squeeze over lime juice if desired.
**We like the look of serving on the skewer, but feel free to take them off.**
12 | Serve and enjoy!
